Its like Graces if there was a massive handicap and characters were forced into roles more than usual.
To clarify, you didn't HAVE to stop combos in Graces. If you linked abilities and combos together correctly, you could get some crazy loops going. Skills and equipment really made it simple too.
In Z, you have to be a fukking magician to make that sort of shyt happen. Its still decent combat, when the camera isn't dikking you, but its definitely actively holding the player back from being as creative as they want.
If you're a button masher, it won't bother you at all though.
