My dad used to always rough me up for fun. Put me in full nelsons and all kinds of submission holds growing up.
I started lifting weight sin 8th grade and after about a year I turned to tables on him and put him in a sharpshooter.:jawalrus:

He didn't want any parts of me after that. Id try to wrestle him and hed always make up some excuse. I was pumped cuz I finally over powered my dad but it was :mjcry:at the same time cuz I knew a piece of my childhood was gone

I was 13 years old shooting hoops one evening and my dad pulls up the driveway from a long day of work.

He hops out the car and snatches the ball like he Jordan on a fast break and pulls a slam dunk with authority.

I'm like yoooo :ooh:

I heard my dad tell stories about his glory days, but my nikka just dunk this shyt outta nowhere! I've never seen anything like it.

But then I look... "Dad are you alright?" :patrice:

My :flabbynsick: pops is still hunched over from his landing trembling....

"Get your mama!! Go Go!" :damn:

He spent the rest of the weekend laid up on the couch with pillows and ice packs.

My mom looking like :rudy: Becuase he couldn't even make it upstairs to sleep in his own room
:deadmanny:

Same with my pops. Once I got bigger than him, he ain't want to play anymore :dead:

Didn't want to hoop, didn't want to arm wrestle, didn't want to race, always some half ass excuse.

I cant even front tho. I gotta 15 year old son and I stay lifting so itll be awhile before he can over power me. But we used to race all the time and Id dust him but I noticed each year he was getting faster and faster. He started playing wide receiver in high school and one day we raced and he was like a good 5 lengths ahead of me. I stopped before the finish line like I pulled a hamstring. I haven't raced him since even tho he asks like once a week.

I feel good knowing he never officially beat me tho :pachaha:

I knew my dad was :flabbynsick: when he was using those old man tactics on me in basketball. Driving that elbow in my back, and I still won.
He was looking at me the next day like, "Do you have any back issues from that game from yesterday?" :smugbiden:

I was like "Nope. I ended up playing some football down street after the game so I was fine. You good?"

He looked at me like ":ohhh::merchant: My knees, son...my knees. I'm old. :damn:"

My dad wasn't really athletically inclined. We were playing pick-up basketball at a church basketball court one day. The older guys were nice and asked my dad to play who was standing off to the side. He was like "okay". :manny:
One of they guys got the ball and passed it to my dad who was in 2-point jumper land. No one contested him so he took a shot. He rocketed that ball at the backboard and it bounced hard off the backboard and onto the ground. Not even close. Zero float. Imagine playing dodge ball and you want to hit someone, it was like that.
Anyway, my dad is a good guy but I did not pick up any sports skills from him.
