Dude shouldn’t have been so childish and respected her personal space, but all that laughing then the sudden mood swing certainly didn’t necessarily help the situation either. If something is making you that uncomfortable then it needs to be communicated in a blunt non-playful fashion.

In 1993 this is playing to much and misreading signals and in 2021 this a sexual assault.

Tami always had issues with how she looked (said it in the episode as well). She's trying to be too thin when she looked so much better with weight on her. Even if she looked older she still looked good.

Its kinda wild how 30 years later they seem still have the same issues.

If you see the full episode though you see how much that moment shaped David. They showed a preview for the next episode where they said David is still stuck in 1993.

And I think the reason for that is because he basically lost his career because of it. So in a way he's stunted and never really grew from it. Cause he lost everything and just feels bitter.

Like I said earlier the dude is stunted. He's probably replayed that moment over and over to the point where he has to laugh at it just reaffirm to himself he's not a monster.

Again he deserves blame cause he should have just stopped when they were in the room. In the episode he questioned Beth about what happened in the bathroom because thats when Tami's reaction changed completely. Still he should have just stopped that shyt.

I will say this.

David was wrong in that moment for being an a$$hole, laughing and kinda saying “fukk your forgiveness” to Tami.

On one end I kinda do get what he’s saying but woman are woman and the moment they say “parties over” as a a man. You have to acknowledge it, respect it and pivot.

Cuz the law and court of public opinion/perception is NOT on our side

The way he was just laughing up and kee keeing wasn’t it at that moment while everyone else in the room was uncomfortable and emotional.

He could’ve deaded the situation right there and came out better but he chose to scorch the earth
