It says 99 degrees was the record. I'm assuming they had hundreds of days of 98, 99 degrees.
Nope. Tampa has only hit 99°F three times in recorded history. It says 99 degrees was the record. I'm assuming they had hundreds of days of 98, 99 degrees.

Water too..big bodies of water regulate temperatures really well. That humidity is what makes it a big deal. Went to Arizona a few years back, I felt fine in 100 degrees because it wasn't humid. Just got to stay out the sun
that's weird. It's hit 100+ in NYC before but not Tampa?
“The link between hotter summers and hurricanes
While hotter summers and warmer oceans do not necessarily lead to more hurricanes forming, they are strongly linked to the development of stronger, more intense hurricanes with higher wind speeds and significantly heavier rainfall.“
It's the extra sun melting the icebergs...the water that it becomes gets heated also.with those icebergs melting why isn't it feeling cooler?![]()
It gets like that in Minnesota?!Can't even imagine with the humidity and heat index
Even in Minnesota it's hot af
