oh I get it...yall aren't against the term "baby daddy," just that target is selling it
So it's acceptable when reality shows/songs/D-tier comedians and regular Black folks use it, but when non-blacks reflect the popularity of it among certain Black folks, now it's a problem?

There is nothing "disturbing" about it my friend nikkas just hate criticism and accountability that's it! As African Americans we DO have a "baby daddy/mama" culture. You see it in our music, phrases and our out of wedlock birth rates. Are target a$$holes for doing this? sure but guess who's the bigger a$$holes for engaging in such debauchery.....

The what:dahell:
Call single parent children 'b*stards' and not expect to get negged:aicmon:
Yes i'm mad because yall make it seem like coming from a single parent home is a bad thing, just because yu have one parent doesnt mean anything:childplease:
And dont call me a 'bytch' :camby:cac

It means a lot, some of you need to stop lying, and stop trying to use small examples that you know, in order to justify and keep normalizing abnormalities. If these problems were only being reported by the white media, i would give them the side eye, but this is not the case.

Kids need both parents, and both parents need to be mentally stable to take care of them. Kids need to see MOM and DAD as role models.

See the stats about kids from single parents, they are behind kids from 2 parent household, in the majority of the successful parameters.

I already know that some of you will bring school shooters coming from a 2 parent household, and etc. Forgetting that they are a minority when you compare the ratio of successful people coming from a 2 parent household. By success, i am not talking about money and fame.

PS: Obama was not raised by a single mom.

Of course, exceptions will always exist, but they are just that, exceptions...During the colonization of Africa, there were rich black people, rich black planters and traders, under colonial rule. Can we use them to represent the majority of the population? You know better...The majority of the population was fukked up.

nikka dont quote me wit this bullshyt. There's separated parents in every race gtfoh. Dont fukkin equate all black people wit this fukked up ass stereotype and to have it on sale at a fukkin major brick and mortar is even worse. I wish I could smack the shyt outta all u cornballs in this thread.

First of all I didn't say all black people did this however a disproportionate amount of blacks do this in comparison to other races if you're not willing to admit this then you're being intellectually dishonest.

Furthermore we are not talking about separated parents. Most black women who have out of wedlock births weren't even married in the first place and whine about their useless baby daddies on facebook. You DO NOT see other races doing this to the extent black people do it.....

I remmeber the dumb ass song that made this term popular. If we're going to get all embarrassed and offended when others start using these terms, them we should stop making them up in the first place.
What song? Black people have been saying this since the 70s, and I know my kreoyl and patwa speaking-brehs and brehettes have been using the term since the 60s.

Must be Regional I'm in the Mid-Atlantic and I never heard it until the song on page one came out.

The first time I realized that there was a "baby mama/baby daddy" culture in the black community was when I sat down and watched an episode of L&HH with my gf. One of the rappers was going off on one of his whores who apparently disrespected his "baby mama" even though he was not with his "baby mama". Apparently, that's a faux pas. As the episode went on, I learned that there are all these "established/agreed upon/widely recognized" rules and guidelines surrounding deference that should be given to the baby mama and protocol that should be followed by whores when or if they are interacting with their John's baby mama, current girlfriend, or other whores. The baby mama always takes precedence.

The episode was appalling but absolutely fascinating at the same time. It was really the first time that it sunk in to me that the black community is LOST.

Our ire shouldn't be directed at Target. That's just capitalism and capitalism has no regard for race. Only profit.
