OK, u got me there, doesnt change the fact that u have no proof communism/socialism will work, nor can you counter the fact that capitalism, not communism, has been instrumental in lifting billions of people out of poverty.
Just because the US has problems doesnt mean the only solution is communism, miss me with this sophmoric fatalism. There are plenty of countries that are far from communist that still keep capitalists in check, and have thrived for centuries
Never mind the fact that the collapse of communist countries birthed cronyist capitalists that would make the Koch bros
U can keep referring to your Marxist books but all real world experience with communism points to disaster and an eventual transition into some level of capitalism anyway.

Again, just skip over the whole "I agree with you" thing. Socialism needs capitalism to precede it. Something no country that's made genuine attempts to socialize has had. And frankly would be totally useless even if it had. Because socialism in one nation is destined to failure.
Capitalism produces its own downfall. An exploited vast majority that's increasingly made irrelevant and expendable via population growth, globalization, and mechanization. I believe the only real solution to this problem is a system that abolishes the myth of private property and allows all of mankind to live off the fat of our collective ancestral and present efforts to progress to an easier, more peaceful, and longer life.
Now I readily admit that this society may be far off. Or perhaps totally farcical. I may be wrong in my reading of the situation. I don't think so however.
The fall of the USSR is an extremely complicated subject. Most of that crony capitalism you speak of came from nominal Communists who were tired of getting a fraction of the pay they would in a capitalistic country for their positions(heads of huge soviet factories made ~4x what their workers made, compared to the hundreds of times that American counterparts made). Very interesting subject.

For starters things are not as binary as you make them. I don't think communism OR capitalism or ANY "-ism" in isolation is a viable economic solution. Why? Because they are just ideas; they haven't been vetted or adjusted to actually work in reality.What are these realities. For starters, the only people who are eager to abolish the concept of private property are the people who don't have it. What do you own that you would be willing to turn over to the state.... an Iphone 4S?
Would communism take people's private property by force? What does anyone with private property stand to gain from agreeing to such an arrangement? You would have an instant civil war.What else are these realities. Well for starters we can't just kick back and relax. Goods have to be produced, services have to be rendered. You still have yet to answer the fundamental question of why anyone would do anything besides lay around all day, when doing so would render the same or not much worse result for the individual than putting in a day of hard work. The quality of life you are afforded is only made possible by incentivizing the work needed to make it possible.
Look I am not some clueless "free marketeer". I think the ideal society/economic configuration is a lot more left than where the US is. We definitely have the means to provide healthcare and higher education to everybody, as well as revitalize our infrastructure and provide better job training and relocation resources through the govt. But abolishing private property & removing all incentive for innovation and work is a mistake.
Like I've said before you need to decide whether you want to exact revenge on capital holders or actually help the working class. Because you keep trying to confound the two when they have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
Show me where I said capitalism or America's economic system (which is NOT capitalism by the way) are "the best".
