If you don’t see anything disingenuous about raising hundreds of thousands of dollars from black folks and then using it to pay the salaries of other folks, then you might have a problem.

That ol “black folks don’t do good business, they’re lazy, never on time” makes you sound like a Trump WH staff member.

There are PLENTY of black folks who do great business and excellent work, and If you’re a business owner all about “black empowerment”, it’s your job to find them. Not denigrate the entire base because you’re a bad judge of talent and character and hired the wrong people.

You can’t complain about black folks always looking for a “hookup” when you essentially do the same thing when outsourcing work.

You telling me y'all nikkas that ain't doing nothing for black people at all is criticizing and over analyzing what a dude thats doing a lot for black people. Then y'all blatantly disregarding him hiring black people to talk in the film, y'all blatantly disregarding him hiring black employees on a full time payroll. Business is about making the best product possible. Business is color blind. If Tariq never said anything about everything has to be fully black from the camera man to the editor to the retailers to the customers then what y'all saying is bullshyt. Y'all setting y'all own standards and passing them off like they his standards. You can be pro black and hire white people. If anybody that would be dumb it would be the white person willing to use their talents to make the best highest quality pro black film possible. The contradiction would be the white people willing to use their talents make the highest quality film uplifting black people and shytting on white people(supremacists).

I never said everyone has to be black, but when your product only MONETARILY benefits those from another culture, it’s a problem. The people he hires get a check and film credits, the black folks who fund him get a dvd and a poster. And some one-off donations here and there.

I’m all about putting out the best quality product but he paints himself in a corner and then pivots out by saying “I’m just a businessman.” And, if you notice, the only people he bashes are black. Throughout the whole video it’s about how cheap we are, how lazy we are, how unprofessional we are. And this is week after week.

Hire whoever you want to hire, that’s your money and prerogative, but don’t bash your base. You can easily just say “you know, this cameraman was better than the others” as opposed to “black people have janky equipment, shoot music videos on their iPhone” etc.

Are you disregarding the black speakers he pays that actually sits in front of the camera(Umar, Boyce Watkins,etc...)? Plus all this man do is bash white supremacists. On Twitter, on his documentaries, on his broadcasts, etc.... Who do you know that calls out more white supremacist shyt then Tariq? He's like the black news channel. He just giving tough love to black people because he wants black people to do better and to let them know step it up if you want people to hire you and take you serious. Make sure your priorities in order. Instead of spending money on materialistic stuff spend your money on your craft and make sure your work is comparable to the competition. Every time I see him do a project he always tell his listeners what he looking for and if they qualify and got the time and the equipment and is in a particular area or is willing to travel to email him. Most of his listeners is black so he clearly tries to hire black people first then if the requirements not met with black people then he do what he got to do to get the job done and that might be hiring white people, Indian people, etc... That's how any business work. The show must go on if you can't find the people you perfer to do something then you just move on to who qualifies. As long as the documentaries high quality and the donors are satisfied with the overall product they donated to that's all that matters. The donations don't come with a policy of a all black film crew so that shouldn't even be a discussion. The discussion is are the donors and customers satisfied with the product.
