"Illegal immigration" (a dubious classification at best) is but ONE piece of the damn puzzle. But since it's the most sensational and gets the bigots charged up it's what gets the most play. Some of you guys give Tariq too much credit and free advertisement. He is a grifter. His message changes based on what will bring in the money. Nothing more, nothing less.
As for immigration. Legal immigration is not the problem. It is illegal immigration that has been causing a downward pressure on wages in certain industries. I have put up reports to congress and economic studies that prove and support this claim. If you want to pish posh it, well that is your perogative.
My take overall is that Black Americans should be worried about our issues, just like everyone else really only worries about theirs. If we have common gournd, then we can work together. If our goals do not align, then we should focus on our goals even at the detriment of other groups' goals.
You won't hear these charlatans bring up NAFTA or USMCA though. That ANY alleged black person could fall for this boggles my mind.
. Because hector and maria are taking all the good paying jobs. And I guess the Africans want to get in on reparations? I can't keep up.

. I don't think we've ever even directly spoken except for when I shot you an invite elsewhere so chill lmao. I hardly even post on here. I'd love to see these documents and academic studies though. I also never suggested there wasn't any impact, but relative to things like offshoring, piss poor trade agreements, the erosion of labor protections and automation/mechanization, I think it's clear it serves as chum for the less informed and hateful.
