Also, I think another point that needs to be clarified is that the us changed immigration laws in the 60's that allowed a flood of immigration, so IMO you have to separate black immigrants before and after the 60s

Before the 60s there was no way a black immigrant could come to the us and separate themselves from AA in any significant way, nowadays they can

So marcus garvey and Sidney Poitier and stokely Carmichael are a different breed of immigrants then today, today there are a lot of black immigrants that separate themselves, so the Aados movement is a legit reaction to that

There's plenty of black immigrants that fought for civil rights for black people in America during Civil Rights. Never heard of Stokely Carmicheal, Harry Belonfonte? Come on fam. Negged for being an idiot.
Most of the civil rights movements were started or led by a full or half west indian. nikkas don't do research.

Good for you nikka. That's the difference between African Americans and black immigrants. We actually have experience putting our feet in a white man's ass. To you it brings on a dream that requires me to be an Arab from canada.

I am an African American from Alabama. The belly of the beast terrorizing crackers since birth. Rosewood made me do it.
“Rosewood made me do it” ...knock it off

There was even a period last year when he kept mentioning how Eric Holder has family from Barbados and was going in on him saying he didn't do shyt for Black folks. I get saying that about Obama but we can find dozens of threads on here before Holder left and on other sites about how hard he was fighting and policies he was pushing for criminal justice. There is a reason why the racist conservatives hated him more than they hated Obama. Then this guy Tariq in his mansion gets on talking about how Holder didn't do shyt when he went further or attempted to go further than Obama ever did.
You are a fukking idiot.
Holder championed illegal searches by police, he fought against sentencing reform, and worked to keep blacks in jail.

Stop repeating shyt white folks tell you and c00n puppets say and look at the facts kid.

Thus, the Obama administration gave ample lip service to rolling back patently racist crack cocaine penalties, but, once legislation to that effect was passed, fought successfully in the courts to prevent early release of inmates convicted under the law. Instead, prisoners were forced to undergo individual review. The lucky ones, who fit Eric Holder’s strict release eligibility guidelines, were dribbled out of prison as public relations exhibits of Obama’s kindness.

in total synch with the Eric Holder who made his political bones by imposing systemic racial profiling on the streets of Black Washington, DC. Holder kicked off his “Operation Ceasefire” campaign on Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday, 1995, framing his anti-crime strategy in civil rights terms -- the right of Black people to be safe. On his watch, Driving While Young and Black became sufficient cause for a police stop and search -- and all the consequences that follow. “The people who will be stopped will be young Black males, overwhelmingly,” Holder conceded. However, the greater good must be served. “Young Black males make up 1 percent of the national population but account for 18 percent of the nation’s homicides,” he said.

Bullshyt, his American upbringing is what made him a head hunter.

What influenced him IS NOT THE POINT. The point is he would not have existed if not for immigration. His mother would have never came here, met his father, and conceived him. What about that do you not understand?

Jesus Christ, some of you dudes are dense headed as hell...

I respect your posts but this is a dangerous road of trying to go backwards and claim AA stuff and give Caribbean's credit for it

Most Caribbeans back in the day did not separate themselves from AA, and that includes Africa Bambatta and kool herc, and they didn't rep their Caribbean side during the time, so hip hop, for example, and the civil rights are African American movements

You're being selective as hell. No other President and AG combo did more for criminal justice and prison reform than Obama and Holder.

Is the root of your thought process coming from a place that at the end of the day you don't particularly care about the history of DoS in America, empathize with our current state of existence as a homeless tribe trying to find identity and shelter on this earth and ultimately do see us as an other or even lesser? In this current broken state of affairs we MUST support a group of people that already have a home to go to, sense of identity, etc? We can't expect Africans to empathize and understand our plight at this current moment in time? If you had a sibling that was 10 years younger than you kidnapped, tortured and psychologically broken down your mentality is to not offer a space of healing for them because they aren't in a condition to be helpful to you? Especially when all the rights you get in the first place in this country was provided to you by that younger sibling? That's crazy. :jbhmm:

I have no idea how you got any of that from my post.

Did you quote the wrong person?

Your post seemed to come from a place of complete disrespect towards the black american struggle. It seems like you could care less about what reasons a black person has for taking this stance and rather than understand and empathize you want to go full blown hate. :jbhmm:
