It appears he uses the word like some use the n-word. In and out of context.

Either are weird to me.

Btw, the word appears to be Yorùbán.

Did you read what the historical context of the word means, or are you making stuff up now?

The context of the word explains that Yorùbá-Africans themselves are considered Akata when living in the west.

And there are barely any Yorùbá-Nigerians in the Caribbean, so that makes no sense either.

But just embrace it like term of endearment, like the word nikka.

Writing books on how to pimp middle school / high school girls is by far more problematic. He was about 24 to 25 years old — when he wrote and released The Art of Mackin’.

Like I said if Akata is a term of endearment like nikka then post some examples of Africans using that word in an endearing manner. That dude is going around calling himself “Akata Killa” so explain what context I’m missing?

I’m not involved in the usage of these terms, so I can’t give any examples.

What I did was look at the origin, the etymology of the word.

An Akata killa can mean many different things. It’s a matter of semantics. The way the n-word is used as semantics. I use neither term. As we have seen, Akata is not just used for AA (FBA), but also for continental Africans in the West. It basically means “wild cat”, “lost cat”.

The word “cat “is literally used in AAVE.

Like most of use I got introduced to the term Akata around 2016. I’ve heard many explanations and listened to many debates. The only person who approached this from a linguistic standpoint was that Nigerian woman Adérónkẹ́.

The context of a lost cat/wild cat is obvious denigration that black americans have no homeland

That is your interpretation and you are free to feel like that.

I only 1 time had a negative encounter with an ignorant Nigerian, and other Nigerians stood up against that one guy. He tried to minimize the transatlantic slavery.

I’ve asked Nigerians (immigrants) about this word, and they had no idea what the word meant l.

It’s insidious not to communicate with a group of people, to try to understand more.

I don’t go by rumors.

America isn't getting dumber and dumber, there have always been people who presented things more analytically versus people who presented things on an emotional level.

Other than the fact that your conclusion (there have always been people who presented things more analytically...etc.) doesn't follow from your premise (America isn't getting dumber and dumber), your statement is ignorant of the facts.

Science, Math, and reading comprehension scores--especially among Gen Z--are at historic lows.

Gen Z Is Reading Less. What That Means In The Age Of Ready Answers

US educational spending also falls short of global benchmarks; we spend 12.5% of GDP on education, well below the international standard of 15%.

In other words, we have historically low math, science, and reading scores, historic educational disinvestment, and 43% of our 20-somethings don't read books...and you're trying to argue that America isn't getting dumber?

You are using words incorrectly.

You argued on the premise that Americans are dumber not me.

I simply stated that your claim that people like tariq are the reason America s are dumber is false as the split between sophists and logicians has been documented since ancient Greece. It isn't new.

I simply disagreed with your assertion that Americans were dumber out right. I never made the argument that Americans are not dumber because sophists and logicians exist. That is poor reading comprehension on your part.

Reading less is most likely false they may not read books as much but all their online usage is done via reading. They may mean reading novels and books but that doesn't mean a person is smarter or dumber.

Educational spending doesnt prove people are dumber either.

There has been a plateau in iq, but iq doesn't show intelligence either more than it shows familiarity with the test makers.

I could go on and state how low test scores show more I'll prepared students for tests or a failure in the education system, but that doesn't mean the students themselves are less intelligent or have greater intelligence.

IMMIGRANT TETHERS
hold up, you can get bushed for saying, you hope Tariq dies?

that's crazy, so what about the posters that wished other posters would off themselves?

isn't that just as egregious, if not , even more?

personally, i wouldn't do it, but is Tariq like the threshold on how far we can go?

the man is not an activist or a freedom fighter or law maker, mass employer of black people.

he talks shyt online and trademarked a delineation movement.

we're bushing people over him now?

and I like how you all tried to frame those poster specifically wishing death on Tariq as an attack all African American men
wow. that is republican level spinning and and straw manning

We can have a difference of opinion, but to which for Tariq to die is going too far. And is counter productive of what we try to achieve.

Tariq never stated that he wants to see others suffer, he wants others to succeed. That is what I got from his criticism.

He’s right about certain things and wrong about others. In the end he’s just a human who can make mistakes, despite of the middle name Allah.
