:stopitslime: It's gotten worse for us if anything. Accessible healthcare is not an exclusively black project and what civil rights intervention are you talking about?

And let's not forget his condescending "stop making excuses" speeches and "stop promoting ignorance" speeches that he'll give at HBCU graduations. :mindblown: Why give those speeches to the people who obviously are not part of those problems?

And his unnecessary Father's Day speeches are an even bigger problem.

real shyt rite here bruh.........idk how he gets a pass for that shyt.......every segment of society has their own issues but this nikka is out here disrespecting millions of black fathers that break bread to feed their families.....and they say its ok for him to talk greasy to millions of fathers who put in more work than he ever did in his entire life just cuz he is black like us........we got to do better

Tariq said this shyt too...and so did Pharrell...and I think ya'll ARE NOT getting the point.

Its that we have to rise above and create our own and overcome IN SPITE OF whatever is facing us.

TN said it himself...we ain't even got the right paper to bring Obama over.

You think he doesn't want to help us? He's not the fukking king you know...theres levels to this shyt and we gotta make it work for US.

Way to miss the piont. he didn't target that shyt towards black people...it was for ALL fathers.

...but hey, a hit dog will holler. :umad:

mind you, Obama wasn't even raised by his mom but by his grandparents.

He knows all about that single parent upbringing.

Come on man. You know better.

He did the speech at a BLACK church.
And the problem is much deeper than some dads simply not wanting to take care of their children. Do you really think dads want to pay child support, not be able to see their kid when they want to, and possibly risk going to jail because the people at the office made a mistake or the woman gets vindictive and starts sabotaging the process?

And Obama's situation was far different compared to many of the black people from single parent homes.

Don't tell me shyt about trying to get the black community together, when dudes aint being responsible.

This is what we're talking about.

There IS some room for blame ON OUR PART. No one told you to knock these chicks up...so you better be prepared to handle that.

There obviously is room for blame. But a condescending misinformed speech given on the day when fathers are supposed to be appreciated is not appropriate.

And as for responsibility, how about the women choosing guys who they know aren't responsible? Those guys out there who have 7 kids with 7 different women and other ridiculous situations.

44 - Obama Vows to Keep Talking About Fatherlessness

SAN DIEGO -- Sen. Barack Obama said he would continue to chastise absentee black fathers and deliver tough love speeches to the black community, even if the Rev. Jesse Jackson doesn't like it.

Interviewed on his campaign plane last night on the way to San Diego for a speech to a Latino group, the Illinois senator said Jackson had raised his concerns in a private conversation the two had, even before the civil rights leader's caustic comments became public last week. Jackson was caught on video angrily saying that Obama was "talking down to black people."

"We had actually discussed some of the concerns that he had raised about my Father's Day speech," Obama said. "I told him that I absolutely believe we have structural inequalities in this country that have to be dealt with, which is why I have proposed making sure that health care is accessible for every American.... But my argument is simply that's it's not an either/or proposition but a both/and proposition.

"The government -- and society as a whole -- has an obligation to deal with poverty, particularly poverty that is deep-rooted. Not just in the inner cities but in rural communities all across America. But we also have to recognize there's a particular problem when more than half of African American children are growing up without a father in the house, and oftentimes not even knowing their father."

Theres no winning here. Thats the problem. You won't stop short of Obama declaring every day as "national black day" and distribute annual cheques and free shyt to all people of XYZ amount of melanin.

shyt doesn't work that way.

You're coming up with all these hypotheticals that DO NOT MATTER. Why the fukk should I care about what the woman is doing. fukk outta here man. It takes two to tango. MFers wanna talk about "equality" AFTER they got mouths to feed. :camby:

In a conservative sense of the world, black MEN have to do better, be better, try harder, and grind more than ANYONE ELSE if we want equal footing. No one is going to make that easier for us.

Black people are PHYSICALLY a minority. As in, we can't even crack 15% of the population.

So even without all the odds stacked against us...WE STILL have to fight.

So I don't wanna hear about all this "well the man does this, that, and the other..."

We're talking about RESPONSIBILITY and all you can focus on shyt we already know about.

We have to get our house in order and all you can do is complain about potholes in the street.

You're running again.

Stop that mess.

Obama is speaking to a problem in the black community, do you not agree?

Lets be honest...I don't doubt that men going to jail has hurt some families...but ALL of them? I wouldn't even say its the majority.

You're reaching right here.

So its Obama's fault he had folks that cared about him when he grew up?

Thats kinda the point.

Plus, Michelle is really the one you nikkas should look up to if thats what you're going to try and troll about. She was a BOSS before she even met Barack.

first you say it wasn't exclusively about black fathers, then when proven wrong, you move the goal post. you really have a hard time admitting when you are wrong.
