True, but how the fukk are you going to implement that at this moment in history? Even TLR is full of posters mocking "defund the police" and calling for HARSHER penalties and MORE strongarm policing tactics. The president literally doesn't have authority to tear down policing structures, entire federal government can't even do that for anything other than federal agencies (though it would be a good start). So it would be a weird-ass expectation to have of Biden.
If you view literally everything within the Executive Branch's authority to do as a "meaningless gesture", then I struggle to see what you actually want.
The White House also supports the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which is far more than I'd have expected from an old-ass conservative law-and-order Democrat president like Biden. House passed the Act but conservatives are refusing to advance it in the Senate and Manchin and company won't break the filibuster.

Biden was my least favorite presidential choice other than Bloomberg. I'm glad that since I live in California I didn't have to hold my nose and vote for him, casted my ballot for Hawkins/Walker instead. He's shyt on wealth, on race, on police and justice system. Even if he had total power, he wouldn't do everything I'd want him to do with the justice system. But it seems weird to shyt on him for doing those things which he actually can.
