Why kill TaChalla at all tho? The actor playing him died, not the character, nor does TaChalla die in any of the story lines posted here.

If thats the permanant move I dont like it at all either. But that remains to be seen. Maybe this is simply a movie dedicated to the actor, while still respecting canon. They could use this movie to memoralize Chadwick before ultimately recasting. I cant be mad at that if its well done.

I dont even take issue with people who are just fans of the character and only want to see Tchalla as BP. But politicizing this, creating gender divides,,and creating narratives of Coogler making a movie that is anti black men is highly disrespectful imo. Especially considering the mans track record. If black men will tarnish his good name like that, whos safe:picard:?

Did anyone like, actually watch the first movie? What's with all this bytch made bullshyt about gentrification? The first movie was female heavy. And I'm going to say it. All the women in the movie were better than Chadwick Boseman. It's one of the reasons why I wasn't against recasting.

Why do you think he said "T'Cholo"? :mjlol:

What group of people are referred to as "Cholos"?

They also said Toby and Andrew werent in Spiderman 3 didnt they:manny:? I just dont think we really know. In the trailer it appears to be a man in the black panther costume. But i guess that could be Tchalla being killed off as well. Im just not willing to write if off. Theyve seen a fan suprise can save a lackluster movie(Spiderman). Wouldnt be suprised to see it again.
Na, this is solid. They're even creating a new comic around this storyline and trying to write off T'Challa.

Clearly he didn’t. The actor died in REAL LIFE so they have to adjust accordingly. The point is Tariq has convinced some folks this is a conspiracy to erase black men when in the comics, the sister does become BP at one point and fights a non black person. He’s making it seem like they replaced chad with a Hispanic dude to take the lead.
This is literally the first Superhero that got erased in the movies because the actor died. Notice the difference? Why should they adjust when they can simply delay, decommission and wait til the incursion/ secret wars crossover? Namor is taking the lead in this one with Attuma as the villain.

BLM’d Wakanda. Women and “coalitions”. Coogler need his ass beat if this really what this movie is everybody but black men

Coogler is at the complete mercy of the big studios. Yea, he can try and veto shyt, but watch how they do his budget dirty and forget his number for future projects.

Oftentimes film-makers will cave on certain films to get projects they really want green-lit.

T'Challa does not get permanently killed off in that storyline and in fact comes back to fight Doom.

And if you've been paying attention most people don't think he's going to be permanently killed off in the MCU either. They're either going to have a multiverse version come in or his son will take over his mantle. Possibly even both. They just didn't want to do it right away, they wanted to do a tribute to Chadwick's passing first.

Na, he's saying they're erasing black men as leaders in its entirety. Hollywood does not like writing Black people successful without the help of white men. All these other little side characters to makeup for erasing T'Challas legacy is pure comedy.

No one has "erased T'Challa's legacy". He was supposed to star in the first three movies but then real-life shyt happened. How will the "erase" his legacy in the movie when it's clear a substantial portion of this movie will be about honoring his legacy?

And struggling to see where you come up with them "erasing black men as leaders in its entirety". That's completely manufactured. Rumors are M'Baka is going to become the King of Wakanda and that another Black man is going to be set up to take on the Black Panther mantle for the 3rd movie. Nick Fury is still the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is getting his own series, Secret Invasion. Falcon has been elevated to the Captain America role as is going to be the lead in Captain America 4 after coming off of his own movie. Blade in the lead in his own movie, War Machine is the lead in his own series, and Kang is going to be the lead villain and potentially the most powerful person in Marvel history when they do Avengers: Kang Dynasty.

Tariq always come with those zingers for movies, I remember he called Finn in Force Awakens "12 years a space slave".

I mean his skill in life is literally getting social media attention. This is like being surprised that Lil' Nas X is able to post for attention. It's all they do.

"Influencers" like them could probably take over each other's accounts for a month and no one would know the difference, they draw attention effortlessly.

Man Ape was never the panther king. That's fukking retarded and not even comic book accurate just like T Challa having a kid by Okoye. Nick Fury is old. His arc is done after secret wars, Marcus Johnson will eventually take over.

There is a certain significance in BP that separates this one from the rest. It doesn't involve all that weird ass inclusion shyt that was never in the comics. We as black ppl just like to have our own. He also didn't get his powers and shyt passed down from a cac. Nick Fury was originally white. Sam was Steve. Blade is a one off.

You don't read comics cause Kang was never the most powerful person in marvel. Nothing you're saying makes any coherent sense. You're just diverting and deflecting the topic to go back to everything I just answered at this point. Why are we talking in circles? Do you work for Disney+ as the only Hispanic minority as part of the diversity inclusion dept?
