Solid finale. Feel like Maeve and Ruffalo gonna be hard to beat come awards season. That motherfukker Jayson was overdue for that shyt, but it was worth the watch. Higher body count in the finale than I expected lol. I think Mare was a more solid overall story, but I feel like I probably liked the Task finale more.

Excellent finale...excellent show. You can NEVER count HBGoat out. They landed the ending which is more than I can say about a few too many shows lately. I would def recommend this. Lots of action, lots of tension, but plenty of great dialogue and emotion as well. This had beautiful cinematography (for its budget)...at the very least great locations/sets. I loved the subtle way they transitioned between each character, this episode in particular. Like when they switched from the car at Ruffalo's crib to Maeve packing her family away or like the lake where Perry nem were at switches to the Lake where ol girl gets found floating. That's just good shyt. Acting was top notch too. Sir Criston Cole did his thing to were you almost feel sympathy for him at the end. Ruffalo might win an award for that court monologue.
:wow:
Ya'll sayin Mare better? Imma have to fire that up cuz this was SOLID

I'd grade this a "C" but the finale was decent.

What's up with all these motherfukkers popping up in houses and no one hearing them? Lazy writing.

The kid had ZERO time to mourn his dead family nor did he seem to really give a shyt.

The mole cop should have died and him killing Jaysun (which was ridiculous) should have been his redemption arc.

As a kid that was force fed Ritilan I felt the courtroom scene probably more than most.. easily the best scene in the entire series.

How was Tom able to switch the money out with the entire backup on the scene?

I wasn't invested enough in the antagonists to care about their demise to be honest.

Watchable show but nothing astounding.

It wasn't a switch out. The bag with the newspaper clippings was the bag that was found when they worked the scene in the forest with Robbie and ol girl's death. Jason and Perry even looked in that bag before they fled to the hideout. Kath was telling/showing the picture to Tom as she pieced together that Maeve had the money and that was why Jason went after Maeve. So she asked Tom did Maeve have the money and he's like we didn't find any money. Aleah definitely heard him zip up the bag cause she looked over. I guess she agreed with Tom that it was better to let Maeve and the kids have the money and get away. Or Tom sold Aleah on the fact that bag was also a decoy and Maeve just used it to get Jason away from the kids and buy time since she knew more cops were coming.

They should have established that Aleah carries a knife after dealing with her abusive ex. And, she should have used that knife in the fight in the bedroom cuz it wasn't believable that after being choked half to death that she could elbow a dude twice her size across the room.

Really liked the finale and the show was a solid entertaining watch. Not the greatest thing ever but every show isn't gonna be that.

If you didn't like this, that's cool but I think the hyper-critical nature of internet fans has them in a space where I don't think they can really enjoy anything without nitpicking. I was like that but took a stepback and things are way more enjoyable now.

This was a great crime drama series. Coli is just too harsh

:manny:

The only glaring part of the story that was solely used to move things along that was questionable was how things transpired after the failed park meet up with Cliff.

The FEDs busted the couple robbing Cliff's house, they fail getting both members of the Halloween Crew that night, so you would think they would have surveillance on the woman who Robbie came looking for... At her house. That was a bit rushed, because ain't no way nobody's watching to see if anyone comes for them.:smh:

The only other thing I felt was poorly executed was the shootout in the woods. From how it started to the actual scenes and action displayed, wasn't a highlight at all.

However, the way they wrapped everything up storywise after that episode was pretty impressive. They nailed the landing despite some rocky turbulence at the end there
