How did you do that :ohhh:
Just adjust your exemptions. If you're getting back a lot of money at the end of the year you're probably getting too much withheld from your paycheck so just increase the amount of exemptions you take.

Thanks breh...didnt know about that home office change.

2013 was the first year I was self employed...so im about to get raped :bryan:

I dont have a CPA right now...Is it too late to try and find one? or would one of those places like H&R Block be alright for the moment?
My shyts not that complicated, but I want to get as many deductions as possible, so im thinking it would be worth it to hire someone.
H&R block does not have your back, they over charge you for doing the least they can do, and every additional form they fill out for you its extra.. it better to have someone you know that knows how to make sure you are getting back everything you can.

Breh trust me, I let other companies do my taxes the first few years of teaching...after Turbo Tax did it, that shyt DOUBLED my refund because there are things I missed because the tax person didn't go over it...Turbo Tax hits all the things I can declare as write offs...love it!

I mean its cool if you know what you are doing, but for the most part they just try to show how to do a standard return. there are alot of things they dont tell you unless you already know.. but if it works for you :manny:

If you're self employed, you need a CPA. Honestly you should be in contact with him at least two times per year. You can deduct almost everything so you're probably going to be ok in the end. I personally wouldn't deal with H&R block.

I use the HR block free efile, I normally do my taxes late october but last year I did it by Feb 15th or else I would be charged. I like that everything is kept int he system, just have to add some stuff and then im good to go

shyt is a joke:scusthov: There's free tax returns preparation through VITA at most local colleges/universities for those who make less than $50K. It's great if you're not a sophisticated taxpayer (no itemized deductions, Sch C, etc).
