Forced savings breh. The household is not disaplined enough so I get it once a yr and sweep it directly into savings.

Ok. With interest rates being low I guess you're not missing out on much.

But if rates do go up you'll be losing extra cash by letting the government hold on to your money.

im a student so i went to hr block and they docked me 550 because of no insurance when i dont even qualify for obamacare, website told me to go on medicaid. i knew coming in i would pay something just didnt think that much, but then i find out from two people who make a hell of a lot more than me that thru turbo tax they just answered a few questions and had their insurance penalty waived. did my person fukk me over, or are they gonna most likely gonna have to pay that back later in a penalty with interest?

Probably just did a half ass job on your taxes :yeshrug:. If you didn't file yet, use turbo tax instead. I just completed mines there because I had a complex return and they was able to get me 1100 for this year. I know that they have a selection on reduction deductions and healthcare was on there.

Turbotax premier

Married filing jointly + Rental income + Home office deductions+ Medical FSA + Daycare account + a Refinance last year = Hella paperwork.

Doing my taxes used to be almost fun, not is kinda daunting, but i feel accomplished when it's done.
One of the homies pops is a CPA, but I don't want to pay $$$ and it comes out the same as what I could do on my own.

I definitely missed some stuff over the early years with the rental income and losses, and home office stuff years ago, but I'm pretty good now.

How did it work out for you?
Still in it. Probably going to stay in the industry for the long haul but I'm looking for another job. The team that I on now is so disorganized and over-worked and management just keep giving us more bullshyt and shift blame when something goes bad.

I was mainly refering to the CFA exam I'm thinking about taking it myself to bet a foot hold in the industry before eventually going to business school.
