Not beyonce & lemonade wasnt as impacting & didnt spawn as many hits as 25 or maybe it did but 25 was huuuuuuuggggggeee so it was merited aofy
Outside of that what black artist deserved aoty & didnt win
And if im not mistaken beck & herbie handcock wrote produced sang & played every instrument heard on those specific album so they deserved it strictly off that alone

Speakerboxxx/Love Below is an album that comes to mind that had the impact commercially and critically. Nobody talks about iy, but it was the first and last time, Hip Hop albums dominated the Album of the Year category.

Marvin was going against Stevie, Aretha, Temptations, Earth win and fire, Ray Charles and them, it's not like he lost to some off brand weak artist. And it was for best song, not even song but "Vocal performance" not album in the beginning.

People be mad at the Grammys for not awarding black artists like the same one don't get shafted at the BET and Soul Train Awards and shyt. In 2017 it's Beyoncé and everybody else in R&B right now and it's whatever rapper is hot at the moment in hip hop.. nikkas forget that we don't celebrate most of the black artists that deserve to be celebrated. The Grammys award the shyt that they think we love at the moment it's funny that Solange had to get all pro black to win a Grammy even though she's been dope musically.. I remember when people used to clown her but when that last album came out nikkas were huge ass fans all of a sudden. Maybe shyt will change if we uplift more musicians.
