Awards never meant to shyt to me. A dope album is a dope album I don't care if an artist won an award from it. White Jews make the decision on Grammies what makes you think they know anything about Music? They pick winners based off money they can earn from it.

Since this is a rap board I'm gonna focus on rap specifically.

The Grammys ignored rap music for literally a decade....then in 1989 gave the first Rap Performance Grammy to DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince....which was cool but the shyt that rap fans were really listening to ("Straight Outta Compton", "It Takes A Nation Of Millions", "Follow The Leader", "Making Trouble")....actually fukk it, here's a list of the rap albums that came out in '88:

Anyway, they ignored what was actually going on in hip-hop. This should be a big ass clue how the Grammys operate, across the board. So to see rap fans actively participate in Grammy discussion is as hell....they don't give a fukk about you, or the genre. Then again the vast majority of this board is just pop fans infatuated with a couple rappers they'll eventually outgrow, so it is what it is.

Not really surprised. Taylor has a huge demographic to work with, and her featuring with popular Black artists makes her even more likable. Personally, I used to like her when she first came out because she sang country and I digged that.

Not that i care about Grammys or white validation, most of those people he listed won their own respective genres awards. For example, Aretha won 18 and every last one of them were for RnB and Gospel. Someone black had to win those. Every last one of Jay's Grammys were in rap and rap/rnb collabs. Stevie is the only one of the list to win Grammys outside of his genre because he was a undeniable cultural force. He is probably one of the top 5 musical geniuses of all time.
