FWIW, TDE isn't Atlantic....where they're well known to have pre-packaged songs sitting and waiting for rappers to rap over so they can push them out to the masses.

Hell, TDE just convinced Interscope not too long ago to give them a big enough budget to give Jay Rock decent videos.

He far more talented than Travis. Off talent alone he should be uzi status at least.
talent doesn't make you bigger. And travis is far more talented lmao. Rashad raps better (isn't that great), but travis is far more versatile. His artistry is unmatched by most in rap.

TDE is far from blameless but the biggest problem with Rashad is Rashad. His drug use/addition ruined his career, period. The wait between Cilvia Demo and his last album was solely due to them trying to clean him up. And the wait between his last album and the new one coming next week is...again...getting him cleaned up. He's 29 or 30 now...assuming another 3+ year wait for an album it'll truly be wrap for him after this.

It's over for them outside of Kendrick and SZA, and while Rashad deserves a lot of blame...end of the day he'd be in a better position if they could have gotten him on some tracks. You can't get Rashad on a Yo Gotti, Starlito, etc album? You can't get Q on a Sada Baby track? You can't get Jay Rock on some Griselda/Gibbs/etc shyt? It makes no fukking sense.

thread is embarrasing, op just started listening to zay and instead of doing due diligence, runs to gossip.. idk if just dikk riding or if he is really "listening" because zay literally spells his bs out in almost every song and in hella skits/. haha even in his artwork

meanwhile i was hearing Jay Rock all throughout the NBA finals. tde on another level some cant understand :yeshrug:

and then they went and ran his videos up for redemption. i was just watching them the other day amazed that they have a dope video for almost every song on that album. they did that

I think that’s one of their biggest pros n cons tbh is that they not gon jus put they artists on new wave shyt that frequent, it’s weird they simultaneously will limit there artists creative output n stifle it too lmao. I think their issue is not knowing the timing for when to press the issue but I give them supreme credit for takin Isiah to rehab n puttin up wit that cause shyt so many other labels would never even think of takin that risk

This loosie is so thumping and yet has a timeless feel to it. He should be as big as Travis imo.

New single :wow:

You know what I see as failing? People like yourself who can’t admit when you are completely off base. Just say you got your info mixed up & didn’t know that TDE assisted all they could with this artist.

HE CHOSE the delay
HE CHOSE the drugs
HE CHOSE his own social media moments & how he would re-introduce himself.

Good talk. Now admit you got it wrong for blaming TDE.

One thing I will say is he going that Lucki ecks route to me, his shyt thumps but that whole druggie slur annunciation he's going for kinda annoying to me, hopefully he's a bit more grounded when the rest of the songs release but this nikka literally raps like "And imma rolloneawitya baby commeansuckonna nikkaaaaaaaa!" I be having to look up his lyrics n shyt.

TDE just feels like that label that would be an awful place for an artist to sign. Just seems like everyone that goes there can't drop what they want when they want. We get a Q album once every few years. Haven't heard from Isaiah Rashad in forever, same with Ab-Soul, and SZA. I'm not sure if they hold Kendrick back, I think he just ain't making music.

This is wild, but SIR is probably their biggest artist as of late.
