I don't support the teacher's behavior here, but I understand. I came across this youtube video of an ATL area teacher of the year who's fed up. Just read through the comments. nothing but veteran teachers in agreement how much shyt has changed with the respect level in the classroom.

I’m not a teacher, but I work at a school as the Operations Director. This is completely unacceptable. Yes, kids can get your your nerves, but you do not engage them like you are a child. Dig up your father? Dude just created a bigger situation. Who knows what the people in this girl’s family is going to do once they hear about this. He just created an unsafe environment for the entire school.

All I can say is, the endless teacher shortages are not just pay. They gotta deal with this type of bullshyt and people who want them (the teachers) to act a certain way 100% of the time while everyone else gets to be dikkheads to them (students, admin, and parents.)
