Meh, we have a different standard.

Since I was a kid, my teams have been the Blazers, the Ducks, the Niners, the A's, and the Giants. (I have one gramps from the Bay and one from St. Louis, and I stanned the bay teams because I can't stand fukking St. Louis.) Before I turned 16, I'd seen the Blazers in two Finals, the Niners in three Super Bowls and winning all three, the A's in two World Series and winning one, and the Giants in a World Series. Growing up like that, either you're a contender or your season is a bust. Only the Ducks got graded on a scale - and when Chip Kelly came to town, they became a "contender or bust" team too (at least in football). Just making the playoffs can't turn my dial anymore.

Especially not when more than half the league makes it and the 2004 pistons are the closest thing we've seen to a Cinderella team winning it all from 1996 onward.
