The only city in the south that represented blacks well compared to the cities demographics was Virginia Beach, VA

Even in the south black people for the most part are still underrepresented in tech (better than NY, LA and Chicago).

Atlanta’s percentage compared to its population is not really impressive since the video that OP posted is giving Atlanta the most credit in the south despite other cities in the south having better representation

let’s look at the percentages and compare them to the percentages of blacks in the city

Houston - 16% of the workforce while having a 25% black population.

Charlotte - 21% of the workforce while having a 35% Black population

Washington DC - 22% of the workforce while having a 50.7% black population

Jacksonville, FL - 15% of the workforce while having a 30.7% black population

Dallas, TX - 12% of the workforce while having a 25% black population

Durham, NC - 24% of the workforce while having a 41% black population

Virginia Beach, VA - 19% of the workforce while having a 19.6% black population


Atlanta - 22% of the workforce while having a 51% black population

This list makes sense.

People on the Coli hate on Atlanta but that city has been cooking when it comes to jobs for Black people. And its good that Black Americans/ADOS are securing the southeast.

It is a nice city. It is not over crowded like Atlanta, but it is getting overpriced.
