Tech Industry job layoffs looking scary

I work in IR so still not feeling like the AI take over is close, considering the niche stuff I do. But I think for the next generation it will be tough to avoid it. I definitely use AI for assistance, but it is often wrong. Interestingly i did an AI focused IR recently.

I just do not see it being a simple replacement though. More like how notaries had to learn to type of typewriters, then PCs. Evolutionary for sure, revolutionary, based on limitations will be questionable.

If worse comes to worst I got two outs, it’ll involve other countries, but it is what it is wanted to do but never had the drive to.

These cats and North Koreans are spamming Job apps with these AI apps. It's why you see 1 job with 10k applicants in a day lol. So you get a bunch of AI bots paired in with everyone laid off, paired in with folks who applying but not qualified, so you get about 70% noise and probably not even getting your app seen. Folks are saying so far most offers are coming from references as far as popular companies go.
