I look at areas covered by strict laws and regulations. Meaning the company is subject to fines if they don't do X or Y. Anything dealing with Privacy GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA won't be easily outsourced. Because companies don't want to pay those fines or get bad publicity.

If you focus just on technology they'll always find someone willing to do the work cheaper.
Can you expand on this? You mean I should look for IT jobs in banking or healthcare sectors for example?

I always pick heavily regulated industries Finance, Healthcare, Energy etc. Because they have a license to print money. Once you get experience in one any company in that industry will hire you.

And you network with the business people in those fields not other techies. Because the business people sign all the checks.

Don't talk about it, be about it. Show us how easy it is to bounce around in this current job market.

Yea, my boy left Google to bum around Europe on a motorcycle. He doesn't respond to most of his emails. Here is one of the latest.

The blacked out is basically, "Hey bro, why haven't you responded? Come lead a cutting-edge engineering team."

This is a black dude with an 8th grade education. :russ:

Again, if you're a serious person, have some talent/skill, no better time to solve problems in this space.

A big tech company wanting to interview you doesn't mean he automatically got the job.

That plus for a lot of recruiters all they care about is number of interviews conducted so they'll reach out to people even if they have no intention of hiring them. There is also a bunch of scammers to use jobs at the big 5 as bait.

nikka said 8th grade education as if he talking about the typical drop out lol. Why is nikka even in this thread. Its the whole dumb ass “bill gates didnt go to college” as if it applies to nikkas that barely passed home economics

Its been years since I've had to use a recruiter. I would much rather use a referral that way someone gets paid for the hire. And I didn't get low balled on the offer messing around with some idiotic recruiter.

This is spot on in my experience.

Most companies claiming to replace workers with AI don’t actually have the technology ready to do so. When Forrester analysts ask clients preparing AI-related layoffs whether they have mature, vetted AI applications ready to fill those roles, the answer is almost always no.

“Our CEO said we’re laying off 20% of staff and replacing them with AI. How do we do that?” is a question Forrester hears weekly from clients, according to writing from J.P. Gownder, the firm’s vice president and principal analyst.

Recruiter reached out because the manager told him, "setup a call with him ASAP."

Why?

Someone reached out to the manager and told him, "this is the guy."

It's amazing the envy, the excuses, the hate I see in this thread. Lack of culture. Not serious people.
