Aren’t they supposed to notice most of that shyt during interviews? Are the hiring managers and recruiters being held responsible for that lack of hiring skills.
Offshore talent makes the same mistakes or even worse. They just aren't being shown the door like American workers. I've barely seen Indian workers reprimanded for mistakes much less fired over them. This has been going on for years in my experience.

Banks? With their archaic legacy systems? lol, I'm seen 2 financial instutions with those green and black screened terminals. Friggin Mainframe bruh

yeah mainframes but more likely in universal and commercial banks for total position.

i meant the trading systems in IB sub-divisions.

and i'm betting that a pure IB like goldmans does not have a mainframe.

I didnt watch past the intro but how is anyone Job Hopping now? lol Best we can hope for at this rate is pay off your debt buy land/ a crib in one of these Near Shore countries and go get ya job back :russ: :francis:
I know quiet a few people leaving the Big tech companies to work for much smaller firms. Most are waiting for the economy to improve before jumping ship again in 2028. Its not safe at any of these huge tech multi-nationals. Most are going to Banks or state government to ride out the storm.

I can tell that most of the folks touting this AI sh1t really don’t understand that behind the scene, it’s all a massive if/then logic. And the times where they said AI is hallucinating, it just means it encountered a scenario it hasn’t beeen programmed to expect.

At the root of it, i can tell these fucckas are really thinking it is some self thinking mechanism that just knows all things. I can’t imagine anyone successfully challenging this assertion. I hope someone on this forum does so we can talk it out.

it has been discussed.

lecun should add that errors could be compensating. unlikely but you would like so.

1. LLMs NOT "AI" just a subset. statistical engine only not symbolic reasoning.

2. hallucinations are built into LLM models because of how they work.

3. 9 years NOT 3. seminal paper "attention is all you need" is located here: Attention Is All You Need

4.

as aristotle pointed out in year 350 AD, you need to add an assertion to that babble e-grow

.

imagine thinking that argument structure peaked in the 340's :picard:.

Amazon is determined to use AI for everything – even when it slows down work

When Dina, a software developer based in New York, joined Amazon two years ago, her job was to write code. Now, it’s mostly fixing what artificial intelligence breaks.

The internal AI tool she’s expected to use, called Kiro, frequently hallucinates and generates flawed code, she says. Then she has to dig through and correct the sloppy code it creates, or just revert all changes and start again. She says it feels like “trying to AI my way out of a problem that AI caused”.

“I and many of my colleagues don’t feel that it actually makes us that much faster,” Dina said. “But from management, we are certainly getting messaging that we have to go faster, this will make us go faster, and that speed is the number one priority.”

Just days after speaking to the Guardian, Dina was laid off.

Lisa, a supply chain engineer who has worked at Amazon for over a decade, says that AI tools at work have been helpful to her only in about one in every three attempts. And even then, she often finds issues and has to consult with colleagues to verify and correct their results, which takes up more time than if she’s done the task without AI.

She doesn’t take issue with the AI tools themselves, but rather the company’s logic in pushing all employees to use them daily. “You don’t look at the problem and go, ‘How do I use this hammer I have?’ she said. “You look at it and go, ‘Is this a problem for a hammer or something else?’”
