Finally landed an interview :mjlol: first time in MONTHS. It's a smaller company, and noticed on linkedin they had like 3 applications in a position they posted so the company got buried, not sure why lol. Hope it works in my favor.

If its not a LinkedIn “Easy Apply”, it’s just the amount that clicked “Apply”.
+ there’s an auto job listing reposting based on whatever cadence the employer sets.

You might’ve been the first or 234th to apply.

Good luck!

super rare minority of humans so even talking about this is irrelevant lol. By the time you do the research and studies to get the skills the industry shifted to something else

To make way for multiple $10M compensation packages for engineers, certain individuals are likely to be out of a job... This is relevant in terms of resource allocation.

if you are communicating these crazy salaries are fueling the current wave of layoffs, I don't disagree. That R&D write-off expiring + Covid Bloat was a perfect storm

As time passes "AI" is being exposed for the finesse it is

AI is just digital Indians. What do I mean?

Why are all these programs and apps dogshyt now? Because they've all been outsourced to Indians that make garbage really fast and cheaply. The fast cheap garbage is then constantly tweaked and repaired by Americans. This fixing may take 4 months or 4 years. That's the finesse. It's busy work, like most American jobs

AI is the same way. These AIs create this jumbled garbage that is then given to a team of people to fix. Digital Indians

It's all a finesse

Elon Musk’s Tesla sues former Optimus robot engineer for allegedly stealing trade secrets

Elon Musk’s Tesla is suing one of its former engineers for allegedly stealing trade secrets related to its highly anticipated Optimus humanoid robot.

The defendant is Zhongjie “Jay” Li, who cofounded the humanoid robot startup Proception Inc. after working at Tesla from Aug. 2022 to Sept. 2024, according to the complaint filed in San Francisco federal court on Wednesday.

The lawsuit alleges Li, who worked on “advanced robotic hand sensors—and was entrusted with some of the most sensitive technical data in the program,” downloaded Optimus files onto two smartphones.

Sorry, grads: Entry-level tech jobs are getting wiped out

Published May 20, 2025 • 6:20am
Johnn Cabacungan, a 21-year-old from Los Angeles, flashed a toothy smile as he looked for his crew Saturday in the crush of people outside UC Berkeley’s California Memorial Stadium after commencement. A media studies major, Cabacungan has a string of internships at Adobe and other companies on his résumé and served as president of UC Berkeley’s consulting club. He’s the kind of gunner who in recent years would have had a cushy job waiting for him.

Instead, he has eight interviews lined up, including at major tech firms, but no certain roles.

“I’m scared, to be honest,” he said. “I’ve had trouble finding a job. Most people are having trouble.”

Graduating seniors are right to feel anxious about their career prospects. Compared with the situation a decade ago — or even a few years earlier — the job market facing this crop of graduates is grim.

Hiring of new grads by the 15 largest tech companies has fallen by more than 50% since 2019, according to a new report from VC firm SignalFire. While hiring for mid- and senior-level roles rebounded last year following mass layoffs across all levels in 2023, it declined at the entry level. The gap between the overall unemployment level and that of recent college grads recently reached an all-time high, according to census data.

I see people posting these sites for resume help. But I haven't bothered with any of them. Having a s referral from someone is a must to get hired these days.

Or you have a ton of experience in the few still in demand tech disciplines.
