Exactly why shyt like that exists in the first place. At the end of the day, people DON'T WANT to have these events.
Stop discriminating during the hiring process and you'll have no counter-discrimination events.
I work in tech and it can use a lot more women.
A lot of dudes can't code for shyt and cheat their way through college but somehow, someway they land a job they don't deserve and don't want to improve at because they're entitled af.
Now they crash events where people are trying their hardest to earn a livelihood????
That's not "toxic"? Sound like lovely people to work with.
All those people should be banned from working in the industry and their reputations ruined. That's an enormous red flag.
Imagine working with them and how cutthroat and how selfish they'd be. They'd throw you under the bus to save their own ass every time.
Trash culture, no empathy, no consideration and no class. That's someone ok to work with??
If I were one of those companies there, I'd take their info and put them on an ignore list then spread the word. I hope that's what ends up happening.
