Technically ain't what Desiigner doing to Future exactly what Nas did to Rakim?

Nas being inspired by Rakim's rhymes scheme patterns is a little different than Desiigner literally copying and sounding like Future to the point where people think it is Future and does nothing to distinguish himself like rep where he's from and shout out his hood (dude literally says broads in Atlanta to make you further think its Future)

You could say the influence is there but also Future's steez has sort of evolved from like the Kanye's and T-Pains and so and so forth I would guess too

Nas and rakim are completely different in every possible way and nas is inferior to rakim skillwise and culturally.


In the case of desiigner and future, desiigner writes better more solid technical bases rhymes and we don't know if future's ramp up in skill is organic or from a writing pool.
As his ramp up in skill makes no sense to his previous skillset at all. Plus, ATL is a biter central based landscape.
Where every record from ATL in general is a ripoff of a double time classic or a rehash of a early nineties to mid nineties gangsta rap staple record from masta p to any prominent gangsta rapper of that time.

Whereas nas has never been able to recreate one great rakim moment skillwise ever wholeheartedly and does not bite rakim.

Russell also had no idea of how to survey talent accurately in that era at all.
As Russell was never a great hand in recognizing draw potential after the new school way of thought was ushered in.
So, russell would not be the guy to ask about actual rap past being a business man who could get 100m.

g rap did from the golden era to the styles war era to the technical revolution ushered in by nas.

There's nothing to debate. It's a dumb ass statement. Nas didn't sound like Rakim. Noone in their right mind would've thrown on a Nas track and be confused whether it was Rakim or not.
