Nas getting compared to Ra was more a way to compliment him than "these guys sound alike". Because late 80's, early 90's Rakim was still the gold standard for rapping. So you got this young gun, rapping his ass off, the closest analogue is Rakim.

When Desiinger came out people literally could not tell if it was a Future song. That never happened with Nas and Ra. That never even happened with G Rap, who Nas sounded a bit more like than Ra.

There's nothing to debate. It's a dumb ass statement. Nas didn't sound like Rakim. Noone in their right mind would've thrown on a Nas track and be confused whether it was Rakim or not.

The only time I thought Desiigner sounded like Future was on Freestyle 4

till wack toy rap fans from the MTV boom of tupac heard fukk'n makaveli and started their jealous bullshyt. All cause Pac was gone and post humous disses came out. Where they knew if Pac was alive none of that shyt would drop and they also knew Pac would get destroyed in a battle versus nas.
Exactly how Pac would have gotten destroyed by big as well.
