I have been thinking this for a while. We take technology for granted so much to the point where people skip certain things to hold out for the "upgraded" version. We just expect things to keep advancing. But how far can we go? We are no longer inventing, we just innovate. We invented the TV almost a century ago, and we are still just making them bigger and increasing the resolution/clarity. Tablets, Computers, Cars, Watches, Phones, etc.. we are content with just slight innovation. To the point where increasing ram and changing the chip in a device for a new year is worth thousands of people showing up to a conference.

Are we really finished with inventing? And if so do y'all see a standstill with technology coming?

Technology isn’t the problem. Science is. It usually takes a while for science to turn into tech. We’re not making those huge discoveries anymore. What I’m worried about is discoveries slowing down.

In just the past decade, we've made unimaginable leaps in technology. The idea we're at a standstill, when we've only just scratched the surface of numerous breakthroughs, doesn't compute. once we figure out how to harness fusion energy at safe and scalable levels, it's a wrap.
Can you go a little further about harnessing fusion energy?

In high school (about a decade ago for me now) I had a Chemistry teacher who was saying something similar. Basically there really haven't been any huge technological breakthroughs. We're just improving upon stuff we already have. Some people might say smart phones but those are just smaller computers. By major breakthrough we're talking about shyt like the invention of the car, airplane, tv, internet, etc.
