VR is no where near close to what people think of when you think about VR..

Heck I think during one of the VR conferences they mentioned that wireless VR headsets were about 5 years away..

:jbhmm:...couple angles on this.....ppl still invent...but they only invent for profit...not for the benefit of humanity...DaVinci had plans for airplanes and whatnot...that's the difference...ppl invent apps for money...how many different apps are basically the same...snap, IG , Facebook etc...most inventions just help u do the same shyt u normally do better...Also think a lot of our breakthroughs are just us tapping into the akashic records....meaning we just remembering a lot of shyt we lost before major catastrophes in humanities existence...like Atlantis, Lemur, Babylon etc...theres evidence of a nuclear explosion in the earths core like 50-100,000 years ago or sumn like that...the more ppl that wake up and tap into their psychic abilities the more breakthroughs will happen

Bonus: X-ray and microwave technology was reverse engineered from alien aircraft......open secret in the military....prolly aint been no new alien craft to reverse engineer shyt from for awhile....

Matter of fact, a lot of future technology are just improvements on old shyt. A flying car is just an improvement on a car and a holo-gram is just a projection:dahell:.

A holo-phone is just an improvement on a phone...

This thread doesn't really make sense because we've already invented the core of what we use on a daily basis.

Even if VR isn't totally VR, it's still VR so it's still a major invention

All we have is more convenience... Less people understand how the tools and tech they depend on works now than before. Less people who can actually work manually or figure things out without tech.

We delude ourselves into thinking just because tech got smarter that we also did but it's quite the opposite. The more convenient life gets the dumber humans will become on average. Less dependent on using our brains and bodies.
I have felt this way for a long time. However, my attitude about it isn't as bleak. This is the age of convience. We will have another age after this one. Society always evolves as technology evolves, because it is the ideas that evolve. Eventually someone or something will usher us into the next age. Can't wait to see what it is.

Breh this is kinda of a silly thread. Do you know how long new inventions take to get to mass adoption?

Think of any major invention. Car , tv , planes and look how much infrastructure, rules and regulations have to be in place for mass adoption to take place.

I think inventions are at a all time thanks to open source and the internet.

You tripping breh

Are we really finished with inventing? And if so do y'all see a standstill with technology coming?
HELL fukk NAH :dahell:

If there's room for improvement in life on any level, there's a reason to invest some shyt.

People are confusing invention with innovation. They're not the same. Self driving car is not an invention. The car was the invention. Making it drive itself was an innovation just like cruise control was.

I am talking about groundbreaking technological imventions
