Such a jets move. See a rookie play a couple preseason games and make him your savior:mjlol:
:what:

If the Jets traded up to 3 to get him, then they obviously see him as a potential franchise QB. Whether he will be or not remains to be seen, but they're gonna have to play him eventually.

Why delay the inevitable :dahell:

I wanted Houston to trade up for him the year he was drafted but I don't think Butt Chin O'Brien is a fan of Teddy.
It’s not that actually. We wanted Teddy for the 1st pick in the 2nd end that we had, the Seahawks traded their pick to the Vikings at the last minute for the 32nd pick because they knew we were going to take him in the 2nd round. Rick Smith REFUSES to trade draft picks under any circumstances. We got Watson because Rick was no longer in charge, best decision we’ve made in a while on draft night.

as far as Teddy.... it would’ve made a few good teams interested in giving him a solid deal

as far as the jets... first non-losing season in years and show the league / division that they are next in command when Brady retires
The issue is that if that happened it would be hard to justify letting him walk to take a step back the following season

well if the book or assessment on Darnold development is accurate - him sitting his entire 1st season and learning under Josh/Teddy then taken over in his 2nd season, shouldn't be considered a step back season for the Jets BUT MORE like a lateral season

Another dumb Jets move. Should've kept Teddy and cut Sam.

Should cut Leonard Williams while they are at it.
