Street Fighter was always better as a 2d game. I enjoyed the EX series though.

WDFNo it's not, what the fukk is you talking about. The IV series is the most ugliest designed SF game of all time. It is heavily influenced by Tekken and DBZ games. In essence, it does not play, look and feel like a traditional SF compared to SF2, Alpha and III series. KOF XIII and MK9 were better than any IV game this gen. It did reignite the fighting game community, other than that that's were the props stop.
Every professional player will tell u the SF4 series is the closest to feeling like SF2 out and is the most balanced SF(AE 2012) of all time
3 series in no way is close to sf2 metagame

Here's the thing, I don't care for the tournament aspect that IV brings, I care more about the mythos of Street Fighter.
I've been a Street Fighter stan since 1992. I enjoyed KOF XIII and MK9 more than the IV series this gen. My preference

Tekken/tag, KOF, III strike, VF, Alpha 2/3 are all piff, SF4 series is cool but I'm waitin for that next game in tha vein of CVS 2 or MVC 2. UMVC 3 is good, but 
could be better.
