I think it happened twice. Plus she started to notice this older brown vehicle that would park between our house, and the house next door. It would come and go. So she finally called this cop that she knew, and he put our house under surveillance. The next time that brown car showed up, my sister's cop friend caught him. That's how she found out it was that nerdy dude she gave her number to at my brothers function. Man what a weirdo that dude must have been. I know this may sound like the opposite of what you experienced, I did almost the exact same thing to a chick several years ago...tapped her every weekend and all (she lived outta town). But she was the least attractive girl I ever dated, and she had this tendency to stay glued to her cell phone, texting back and forth with her partially disabled daughter, even while we were out in public...making it look like she was playing me. Like I said, we never even had an argument, so I guess my text was a shock to her as well. But I didn't want to hurt her, although what she did was cold and unexplainable. So after a few days past, she texted me back, asking if I knew what was bothering her that night. I wouldn't respond. I completely ghosted her. Then she texted me again about a week later, letting me know what a mean person I was. I felt real guilty for this for a while. I never done that so suddenly too a girl I was sleeping with. And what she said to me outta nowhere through that text that night, never happened to me before either. But she kept me as a friend on facebook, and we'd wish each other a happy holiday, until that faded away. But she's still a friend of mine on facebook. She stays on there.

But yeah, I can relate, especially when my ex outta nowhere, told me she wasn't trying to talk to me that night, when we never even had an argument. Although she was hurt worst, I believe she later understood how truly wrong she was as well.
