Let's be real. If she was in office, this still would have happened. And honestly, I doubt she would have done much on this front.

The US wouldn't have withdrawn from the Paris Agreement and we wouldn't have a buffoon in office that thinks climate change is a chinese conspiracy. Congress would have to be on board to do much more than that. I'm by no means some huge Hillary supporter but lets not indulge in false equivalence.

That's conflation. I said "she wouldn't have done much on that front". The icecaps still would have melted. There would still be a climate change issue. She wouldn't have passed any legislation that would have dramatically changed the climate change landscape.

But yeah, she probably wouldn't have reversed Obama policies. But I wasn't talking about that anyway.

while i do believe in human contribution to climate change - such as the hole we put in the ozone - how do we know that some of this isn't natural? the earth, over it's 4.5 billion year lifespan, has cycled through hotter and colder (ice age) periods, how do we know we're simply not heading into a hotter climate cycle?

I really do wonder what the earth will look like in 50-60 years if we keep going at our current rate.

Feel sorry for the kids that gotta grow in that era

Climate change is eating the Himalayan glaciers, newly declassified spy satellite data shows. The glaciers have lost about 8 billion tons of water a year, the equivalent of 3.2 million Olympic-size swimming pools, a study concludes.

My issue is why even leave that to chance? We have the technology let's just employ it and measure the effects over time. Either way we win.

If it’s natural, we can’t stop it and we shouldn’t be trying to. As for stopping the man made contributions, for sure
