Legendary indeed. I was kicking myself in the ass a few years back when they had in showing at the Harkins theater for i think the 30th anniversary and I missed it. I won't miss the 40th, thats for sure.2 of course :dahell

Terminator 1 for the same reason Alien is better than Aliens. A smaller, more focused story, and horror instead of the more family friendly action of the sequels.

I wouldn't call Aliens family friendly, T2 was rated R as well but would probably be pg13 today.

One of the best opening 5 minutes in movie history. God tier score and iconic imagery.
First clash in the mall to the flood channel chase is elite filmmaking.
ends with damn near 40 minutes straight up action movie perfection. From the time they enter Cyberdyne to the time the credits roll. FIRE.
Extra points for making the Terminator the good guy and still cooking up heat. That's a franchise killing fukk up in every other movie.
Turned Michael Myers into a good guy but created Jason Voorhees to replace him.
