Flash in the pan.

4 really great years. But that’s it.

The only difference between Terrell Davis and a guy like Jamaal Charles is that Charles wasn’t fortunate enough to play on a stacked team with a HOF quarterback.

You all scoff at the idea of comparing those two but they each basically had 4 year careers in terms of effectiveness.

Priest Holmes should be in the hall of fame.
Hall of fame stay fukking over longhorn running backs smh

Eh. I constantly hear that the coli for the most part values peak over longevity. TD had an elite 4 or 5 year stretch. He really made the most of his time.

I am a peak/prime over longevity person. Typically, I'd want to see someone have a longer career than he did, but it's tough to leave someone out who has an MVP, two OPOTY awards, a 2000 yard rushing season, was a big factor in two Super Bowl runs, and won a Super Bowl MVP.

The HOF should be for greatness, and peak and prime are much more important in terms of that than longevity.

I can see where people question his as it was a four year stretch, but he won everything you can possibly win during that time.

It’s the hall of fame not the hall of longevity- he was a central character in one of the longest overarching stories in NFL history which was John Elway getting over the hump- add an MVP 2 Super Bowls a Super Bowl MVP and 2 Offensive Player of the Years and yeah- he’s in
put kupp and holmes in the HOF too then

If you're going to go by body of work, you're right Terrell Davis has no business being in the Hall of Fame. He had a dominant 3-year career out of 6. Even when people talk about the greatest running backs of all time or their favorite running backs nobody really has Terrell Davis on their list. Most people are going to have Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson ,Marshall Faulk, LT and of course your old school guys like Walter Payton and Jim Brown.
