Accurate as hell and this shyt was such an easy decision. A big part of it is nostalgia and another part of it is no one else really stepping up in current-gen horror, as far as icons go.

It’s Art the Clown and then a bunch of supposed horror figures with white girl names under bro. :mjlol:

everyone gonna excuse this garbage again because "lolz, whoa gore porn." i wonder if they actually wrote a script this time. last one literally had like 10% of a story. i'm all for saying shyt like, "no one is going to see it for the story," but for fukk's sake, at least have some semblance of something. legit pornos follow more of a storyline.

I’m not about gratuitous gore and violence anymore, just for the sake of shock value if there’s no substance behind it. I finally came to the understanding a few yrs back that I’ll never get that childlike fear from a movie again, so now I look at horror through the same lens as any other genre. shyt gotta at least make me think or feel uncomfortable from the actual plot. This corny ass clown ain’t it

The gratuitous gore is part of what this line is and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Them A24/Neon flicks are always gonna be there if folks want their “elevated horror” fix. This clearly isn’t that though, nor is it trying to be.

i know, i just think that's kinda bullshyt. it's a crutch. write a semi-coherent story around the gore.

I respect that. I’m not watching Terrifier for the story though. It’s really for the kills. It’s like them throwback schlocky slashers of the 80s that were tucked away in the back of the video stores.:pachaha:

I'd say John Kramer from Saw deserves it. Although he's in year 20 since his debut so he might be too old.

After seeing more of these movies I agree. I can see the influence of movies like Blood Rage and Pieces. Pieces has the so bad it's good vibe though which isn't like Terrifier.
