No thanks. I still have my copy of Tetris DS that I can play offline.
Need to get that PuyoPuyo/Tetris.
Also, next weekend another Maximus Cup event will be held. Whoever reaches 100 points gets the OG Game Boy skin.
Are you saying that 'cause you haven't played it as yet? It's real good, breh and this is from a dude who owns both Tetris DS AND Puyo Puyo. Battling folks online is fun as hell and once you get around to learning how the badge system works, you can eat relatively well with this shyt. I'd bush it for the Tetris DS online vs mode which sadly went offline a while ago since Tetris DS is pound for pound the smoothest/tightest Tetris available on anything, ever.
Even if you got to play someone else's shyt, give it a go. It's fun. Real fun. I've played it more than Puyo Puyo but then again I'm not a fan of Puyo Puyo and only look to play Tetris on it.

Oh, I feel you on that. The biggest draw of this is playing online with folks and I've already got that going. I wouldn't be too interested in Marathon mode since I could just easily boot up DS or even Puyo Puyo. I'd like to play against the bots for a minute, but as you said at 10? Nah, I think I'm good on that as well too.

I haven't bought the DLC myself but it looks fun if you want to just mess around and go for WRs in this way (if you're that good).

Cats like him and Wumbo (Youtube him) play no other game BUT This on some Chess Grandmaster level. I don't even know if these dudes get enjoyment out of this shyt, but they can play with the clock on speed and just T-spin the hell out of shyt and make us normals look like casuals. It's awesome to watch but scary to behold when you fighting against them.
That Wumbo dude knocked me out at 90 a few days ago and I didn't even get a chance to retaliate, my shyt just kept rising. That was a first.

Also the cup shyt is today where you win the Gameboy inspired Tetris theme. It's a pretty nice Nostalgic trip (You get to see it during the event) and it gives you the old school Tetris tune which is a welcomed addition for 
cats like me who grew up on that.
Protip. Don't try and build too high/heavy cause the big players are out. I'm getting knocked out in the low 80's off the strength of that shyt, but this shyt is actually doable. I thought you had to actually win to garner points so I never really got down on the last two, which was a big mistake on my part.
I'm already at 28 points and I'll have 100 by the end of the day, I'm sure. Best of luck to y'all playing.

You get points regardless it seems since I got 4 points when I got knocked out at 92 one time.
So even if you play 25 bad games, you should have 100 points and catch it.
The Tetris theme with the music and everything is dope. I like it and plan to use it exclusively over the default even though it's gonna take me a bit of time to get acclimated to how it displays the lines when people are targeting you.
But then again I could probably just have a mental block from being excited during the event since I was playing it at work through customers.

Did you ever get the Tetris theme or any of the other Themes they had during those special week playthroughs? If not, I think you may be in luck, 'cause I just booted the shyt up and noticed some sort of daily challenge like system they implemented which gave you tickets. You can spend these tickets on themes and I'm seeing both the Tetris and recently added Kirby themes I fought for available for purchase.
