But it's not "as red as it gets". Only 52% of Texas voters went for Trump in 2016. There were 18 states that were redder than Texas in the 2016 election.

Your 20 years in Texas don't account for the fact that Texas demographics are constantly changing (not to mention that Texas is a huge state and no one person can have a feel for the whole thing). If Alabama can elect a freaking Democrat for a Senator, then Texas can too.

A Senator is not the same as a Governor breh. Unless it’s California, a Senator can be either Democrat or Republican in any state in this country

A Democrat Senator in Alabama isn’t that big a deal

How’s it looking for Beto so far?
Go to google trends and search Beto Cruz debate, then cruz beto debate. Whichever block has the higher interest will probably end up winning (whoever's name is first) also search voter registration, and similar things to get a feel if people are going to be turning out in Texas.
