Your 20 years in Texas don't account for the fact that Texas demographics are constantly changing (not to mention that Texas is a huge state and no one person can have a feel for the whole thing). If Alabama can elect a freaking Democrat for a Senator, then Texas can too.
Go to google trends and search Beto Cruz debate, then cruz beto debate.
