He's right. The US military being used on US soil to take guns will most likely not happen. Guns are probably the only issue that can lead to a civil war or something close to it.

In a period where the US is preparing to face its biggest foe yet, China, I don't think the authorities will open a home front about guns. :yeshrug:

People aren't as willing to die as you all seem to think. If the government wanted to disarm the citizenry it would have already done so and without breaking a sweat. In a powerful system that initiates what may be considered an act of tyranny, those that feel protected and granted authority within this power structure (the police and military) are much less likely to defect. Why be under the gun instead of holding it?

Redneck militias can't do much against drone strikes. It would be a slaughter; one so thorough and complete that the US would likely have sanctions placed upon it.

It’s bad but humans have lived in much darker times.

Not justifying anything but saying stuff like it’s the second coming, or we a living in the darkest of times is not helping. This type of thought process is why we have these type of shootings.

It’s what the far right want. To give the feeling that the end of the world is near and minorities are taking over. In turn these guys are radicalized to go on these killing sprees.
