Which makes it all the more :wtf: when they get at dudes like Drake & Asap Rocky for having Houston influence. They should worship them, Drake especially who has made them some what relevant in an era where they haven't produced a single relevant rapper.

:comeon:

We worshiping biting ass nikkas now?

It's true. Name one person who got hot in 2014 who came out the East Coast except Bobby Shmurda... Texas takes an L for the rap scene but places like NY takin an even bigger one. How you gonna be the mecca of hip hop but the best you got is a remedial ass nikka with a song named 'Hot nikka'?

Plus you got Chamillionaire, Color Changin' Click, Lil Flip and Magno. That's just who I listen to and influenced by. The legacy they left will always live on thru my iPod.

Is the Texas rap scene still like it was in the late 90s early 2000s?

I don't keep up with alot of this new shyt but from what I know it's not like that anymore. That was truly a special time and will be tough to duplicate.

Oh okay. I'm from N.O. and when I went to school at Mcneese (Lake Charles) in 2002 dudes out there put me on. I was impressed at the way they had a thriving scene with hardly any mainstream influence. shyt Lil Flippa was bigger than Jay-Z to them cats.
