The revolutionary spirit is almost gone. If Khalid Muhammad was alive today with a social media platform.......:wow:

This story still fukks me up on all sorts of levels. It ruined my week. The West is poisonous for black people
:jbhmm:
The West is a bubble that has this cesspool of degeneration. You think in third world countries or countries going through civil war or strife have time to talk about all this shyt. Trehs, moist dudes and other black lgbt folks are just bored talking these stupid ass talking points. Black toxic masculinity, misgonoir, black men the white men of black people, straight black men are garbage etc. Best believe if there is a collapse in society or economic hard times all these talking points will go out the window because survival will be in the minds of people. Moist dudes like the playwriter or the gay dude who said that he is ashamed sharing the same race as black men would not survive the first 90 days. When you live in times of extended prosperity it leads to mass decadence and buffoonery. Society is heading towards a reset with climate change, and the gap between rich and poor is growing so a major crisis is coming to the west in 15-20 years.

Is it only a coincidence that one of the most uplifting and maybe the only pro-black film ever made by a major hollywood studio - black panther - came out this year?

(I know some people have criticized black panther as not really being pro black but I think people know what I mean...)

and now at the end of the year one of the most racially degrading and anti-black so called works of "art" ever made has come out in the form of this play

this is all happening within the same year and its got me wondering whether in some sense slave play is a response to the sort of positive energy or feeling that black panther created among some oppressed or dispirited people about the viability of resistance to white supremacy or about the legitimacy of an avowedly pro black stance in this day and age of "intersectionality"

maybe after black panther started breaking records winning awards, inspiring some people and creating a lot of conversation...someone sought out the playwright, already knowing his degenerate tendencies based on the essay he wrote, and financially sponsored this deviancy in order to create a groundswell movement among some of the people (a lot of black feminists or homosexuals) who are susceptible to this play's themes or imagery

with the goal of countering the momentum behind any real pro black depictions in future movies or plays through this fake "woke" play that is actually anti-black and promotes white supremacy

maybe it's just a coincidence that both things happened in the same year but for some reason I'm doubtful and I suspect that slave play would not exist without something to react to first

it also might be that the openly white supremacist climate of the trump era in america is playing a part in this too

like someone else said, its like an episode of black mirror or an alternate timeline that we're in, so a few changes (the political leadership and political climate of the country) might have made a big difference or provided some of the background for this play to be made, although I still think it's more of a reaction to counter the positive energy that black panther created

also, a separate thought:

its possible that this slave play could see a film adaptation of the play too

somebody else on twitter already pointed out similarities between the series insecure, scandal, and this slave play, so its not crazy to think that these same themes or a similar plot might be repackaged and presented in an upcoming tv show or a film

what we're seeing now with this play may only be the first stage of it

the degradation and degeneracy may not really be over whenever the play's run ends

this could actually be a prelude to a major film adaptation or show

the sexually explicit stuff might be toned down a bit and the name might be changed, but the general themes and plot might be same

to me it seems possible and I think something greater (worse) might be in the works depending on the success that this play has

this play may just be to "test the waters" and see what the response is like among critics, in order to pave the way for something even more evil or something which is just as evil but has a much wider reach

if you think this is a "conspiracy theorist" post, just ignore it and dismiss it, no insults please, I'm just thinking out loud here

Breh this is nothing new. From monster ball to neo ned hollywood and entertainment in general has always played on this white overseer black body fetish.

Even some black exploitation movies played up on this. Ever so often hollyweird tones it down. But then it rears its ugly head again with some black fetish shyt.
