Cardi is still out here wearing Fashion Nova and doing other relatable shyt, including talking to her fans. It's not a problem that she's wearing expensive shyt, she came from nothing and is doing what many normal people would do in her position. The problem with Hov/B is they are so far out of the realm of "regular" that no one relates to it, or cares about their struggles about they can't identify with it.

The reason white people have turned from Beyonce is moreso due to the fact that her sound has been almost completely taken over by trap (production, adlibs, song structure, etc). It has very little to do with her talking about "black shyt" because...she doesn't talk about much black shyt, outside of when she's stunting. This sing/rap shyt isn't wavy to a lot of people...including black chicks, I might add. @CrimsonTider

If we really delve deeper...I kinda get the impression a lot of women aren't even feeling Beyonce's relationship. The image she built up doesn't gel with...dealing with Hov's cheating for years, moving your entire family to another coast of the United States to hopefully stop him from cheating on you...what the fukk is that? Yea a lot of women stay in terrible relationships, but this...
really? Her image definitely lines up with her staying with jay

“Ring the alarm” is about jay cheating and her staying with him cause no other chick is gonna get the finished product she helped built.

That song came out like 10 years ago now.

Bey last album was huge with her base, when she drops another solo it will be also

And Hov is in a interesting spot tho, it will be interesting to see if he goes back to kinda chasing hits or stays on his pro black shyt.

4:44 did great tho, but a lot of people aren’t trying to hear black impowerment shyt black and white, I feel he’s in such a good spot he should should stay at it. But I don’t know where his mind at.

4:44 is a top 5 jay album to me. So I want him to keep at it

it's not just white people, it's older black people. prior to beyonce (the album), bey was good for having a couple singles that also appealed to older people and got play on adult contemporary formats (shyt that catered to baby boomers). her music these past few albums has offered almost nothing for them, and she hasn't had a single that works for that format/crowd either so she's lost their sales - people who'd still buy music

these have been her singles the past ~4 years

"XO"
"Drunk in Love"
(featuring Jay-Z)

"Partition"
"Pretty Hurts"
"Flawless"
(featuring Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie /Nicki Minaj)
"7/11"
"Formation"
"Sorry"
"Hold Up"
"All Night"
"Apeshyt"

compare that to earlier when she'd drop a me myself and i, halo, dangerously in love, end of time (with JT), closer i get to you (with luther), irreplaceable, listen, flaws and all, love on top, best thing i never had

Em flopped.
Jay flopped. With Beyoncé
Nas flopped.

For 90s fans...its a wrap :mjcry:
Even the 2000s is struggling. Kanye on his last legs :blessed:

This is a real changing of the guard moment :mjcry:
The sad thing is all those guys with the exception of Eminem are putting out semi-decent music.

nikkaz in they 40s and some hitting 50. They can’t be on top forever :yeshrug: all of them need to stay the course tho, and hold on to the base they have right now
I know they can't be at the top forever, but if the music is quality who gives a damn about sales. Unless they cutting ya boy a check.

Ego is a bytch for them tho. I’m sure they do care. Especially when they still putting out music that’s better than the stuff that dropping and selling the most lol

But what I do see is the Hood and struggle is being pushed out of hip hop for sure. This might be the last run before it’s all pop music

Are you seriously arguing this abum didn’t flop? :PGucci:

Absolutely. Not only that, I'm asking anybody who thinks it did after 7 days of digital only wide availability what type of agenda they've got.

Nikkas thinking folks supposed to do 1.5 million the first week in todays climate :francis:
Stop it, Bey did 600k her last first week which was two years ago which is the same exact sales climate, “todays climate” has been the climate for the past 5 years. I don’t know what jay actually did on 4:44 given the sprint deal. But plenty of artists who are supposed heavyweights push 200 and up out the gate (Drake, Kendrick, cole, even Cardi is doing that), no one would expect a mil, but for them to not be able to even push 200 in two weeks, that’s a flop.

Lemonade was made available for online streaming on April 23, 2016 through Beyoncé's co-owned streaming service Tidal, and was released for paid purchase the following day and at physical retailers on May 6, although other streaming services like Apple Music as of June 2018 still don't have Lemonade offered. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, selling 485,000 copies in its first week of sales (653,000 with additional album-equivalent units) and earning Beyoncé her sixth consecutive number-one album on the chart.

4:44 debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 262,000 album-equivalent units, of which 174,000 were pure album sales.[98] It is Jay-Z's 14th number one album to debut and peak atop the chart.[98] The album was a Tidal exclusive for the 1st week and the streaming numbers on Tidal were not reported. During this period, it was reported that mobile company Sprint, a major share-holder in Tidal,[99] had bought a million copies of 4:44 and provided subscribers free downloads of the album.

FLOP
