Hearing these cacs here in DC complain about not being able to sit out in the "common area" of their overpriced apartment or windowless basement apartment brings a smile to my face. All before they been smug as as a mug about being in the center of it all but with that rona in the streets they now comparing their 600sqft spots to a jail.:russ::umad:

That same $2500 could've bought you a decent house with a yard and a porch that you can chill out on over in NE or SE but oh well. I guess them gentrification cacs gonna ghost out to Arlington or Bethesda after this is over.

Yep. I rent a one bedroom house with a nice neat little garden at the back. Yesterday I lawned it nicely, clipped and watered the flowers and after that, had a nice little BBQ ribeye with a cold beer :obama:

And I’m not paying $2500 a month for this either :umad:

Maybe it's just me and how my mind works. If I can afford $2500 for rent, I'm just going to stack that until I have enough for the down payment for a house. Especially in these new developments, I guarantee they're paying that, and paying all utilities, sewage, waste disposal, all that shyt.

It’s expensive to buy in DC, even in not so good areas.

My rent is near $2,000 for a 1 bedroom in a high rise apartment. They’ve closed our pool/gym/common area but I still have an outdoor balcony on the 40th floor and view of the water...it’s not bad:manny:

Can still workout on it, chill and the sunsets have been dope :manny:

Buying a house in the DC/VA/MD area is low key horrifying.
That's a lot of rent to pay. Jesus.
shyt, it might be a steal depending on where you're at....

I actually opted to go month to month because my lease ended in March. Its a huge increase in rent, but I KNOW these places are going to be hurting soon as people get laid off or move out. Rental properties are gonna have to adjust sooner or later and I'm all for it.
