Yep. I rent a one bedroom house with a nice neat little garden at the back. Yesterday I lawned it nicely, clipped and watered the flowers and after that, had a nice little BBQ ribeye with a cold beer :obama:

And I’m not paying $2500 a month for this either :umad:

What city you in?

ONE in boy DC
Hearing these cacs here in DC complain about not being able to sit out in the "common area" of their overpriced apartment or windowless basement apartment brings a smile to my face. All before they been smug as as a mug about being in the center of it all but with that rona in the streets they now comparing their 600sqft spots to a jail.:russ::umad:

That same $2500 could've bought you a decent house with a yard and a porch that you can chill out on over in NE or SE but oh well. I guess them gentrification cacs gonna ghost out to Arlington or Bethesda after this is over.
I work in the DC area but chose to live in Columbia. Yea I had to drive 45 minutes to work but my townhouse is huge and I don’t feel Iike I’m in a damn cage. I pay the same for my crib as my boy. He has an apartment in Alexandria. I think I won in this situation.

After you reach a certain age there's nothing wonderful about being in the middle of everything. Being within walking distance of every hot spot downtown stopped being attractive to me when I hit my late 20's.

I don't even drink like that anymore to care. I've had the opportunity to move to NYC. I really decent spot in my Dad's co-op opened up. I considered it, but for a lot of the shyt I do, I would still have to hop in the car anyway. I'll stay where I'm at for $960 a month, stack my cash, and get to work way faster than I would living in Queens.
