That Roddy Ricch flop and fall off is wild when you think about it.

Not really. He basically had a lesser Fetty Wap run.
Came out the gate w/ smash hits but no actual fan investment from seeing him rise up via mixtapes and touring. the only place to go was down and w/ a wack album he hit the floor completely

I’m not gonna lie, I don’t know any millennials and gen z’rs fukking with him. No fake deep caption quotes, no memes, no reposts of some shyt he did a year ago, no reels on ig with his music, like I just don’t be seeing that nikka anywhere on the net fr fr, I mean shyt I see mfs talking about spotemgotem more than roddy

Breh fell off the earth.
But if he gets a good single for the next project he'll be back.

it was definitely a flop but that 25 million joint still getting played out here

same with the Too Easy Remix, which is probably the biggest song of the year

If you talking about that The Box nikka he was never on to begin with. When an artist has a captivating single but they're not interesting and dont got other hits its a wrap. Word to Nardo Wick lil nikka not gonna be around next year.
He had more than 1 hit
The fukking booth ladies and gentlemen
But he was right about the interest in the artist as a character

While true the problem with Roddy is his singles carried him too much. Which sounds oxymoronic to say but at some point people have to buy into you as a celebrity/person/story. Like who exactly would a “Roddy Ricch” fan be? There was Bo personality or nothing more to latch onto but hot songs. But what happens when you don’t release that great of a song?
I’ll say this too it seemed at least to me like he came out of nowhere. He had big singles but like you said if your base/public doesn’t buy into you as a person you gotta drop non stop hits or it’s a wrap

After his first album I did go listen to FTS 1 &2 both which were on point . Doesn’t seem like he has a real direction on who he wants to be as an artist & how he’s perceived.
