The 2000s generation dont know how great Lost Boyz was

Literally the first hip hop tape I ever had was Lost Boyz debut album.... I got it for X-mas...played it with aunts and uncles listening in the car ride....

They made 2 solid albums.
If Mobb Deep was dark and grimey street music, Lost Boyz was upbeat happy street music....I guess.
Production was unique I think ...I don't even know who produced for them.

I've never even heard rappers freestyle over a Lost Boyz track.

I used to be a big fan of these guys, but when I hear their shyt now, I think Mr. Cheeks was like the 1st swag rapper.

His lyrics were cringe worthy on a lot of joints.

That first album was so many bangers... they hit us back to back with hits for a year and a half, consistently, off one album!

All bangers, from one album... LBs definitely are underrated just off of how they had that run. I dn't think the 2nd album had that same firepower, but we did get "Me & My Crazy World" and "Beasts" out of it. They were big on radio, clubs, and mixtape/street level. Shoulda gone so much further.

Listening back now. Is crazy how tight their Hook game was. Def ahead of their time from a Hook standpoint.
