Really surprised to see the Mets reup with David, I was wrong because I thought he was good as gone. Still think the best Baseball move was to trade him and dikkey and replenish a weak farm system. But overpaying David is better than letting him walk away for nothing like they did with Reyes. Now lets actually get some fukking talent around him so by the 3rd or 4th year of this contract we don't hate it as much.

Broxton is a bum and Chapman is gonna be a disaster in the rotation.

a part of me thinks why change whats going good

but he has the potential to be a fukking Randy Johnson type but also could blow his arm out i guess why not try him as a starter can always put him back in the bullpen anyways

:comeon: you sat here and whined that the mets payroll was gonna be low as hell adn they would resign anyone

WIlpons always kept a decent sized payroll until thje past year or two because whats the point of havig na large payroll if you suck and are a few years from winning?

When contracts come off the books next year theyll open the wallets

Never whined the payroll was going to be low as hell, go find me where I said that. I said the Wilpons were going to go the route of trying to maximum Wrights return this season instead of trading him and replenishing the farm.

Why would the Braves do this trade with the Angels?

T. Hanson for J. Walden

Have you seen Tommy Hanson pitch lately? It's a good move for the Braves. Get something in return for Hanson, who wasn't going to be in the rotation this season. Saves $3 mill to go after a LFer and it adds another arm in the bullpen.

I saw it as a SP being more valuable than a RP... Hanson did take a step back last year but he's a good number 3 or 4.
